National Seminar on Ayurvedic Pediatric Healthcare


Sri Dharmasthala Manjunatheshwara (SDM) College of Ayurveda, Udupi will organise a national level seminar ‘Kumara Bharana – 2018’ (Ayurvedic Pediatric Healthcare) on February 24; 2018. The seminar will be organised by the institute’s Department of Kaumarabhritya (Child Health).

According to the B R Dodamani, Dean, PG Studies, SDM College of Ayurveda, the seminar will focus on diseases related to the nervous and respiratory systems and skin in children.

About 150 delegates from various Ayurveda institutions of the country will take part in the event and present their research papers. There will be three scientific sessions at the seminar on topics such as ‘Application of Panchakarma and palliative measures in neuropsychological disorders in children,’ ‘Clinical approach towards the common skin disorders in children,’ and ‘Clinical success stories in the management of respiratory disorders in children.’

Lakshmeesh Upadhya, Head of the Department of Kaumarabhritya, JSS Ayurveda College, Mysuru, will inaugurate the seminar and deliver the keynote address.

Roshini Anirudhan, Head of the Department of PG Studies in Kaumarabhritya, Government Ayurveda College, Thiruvananthapuram, Anil Kumar M.V., Head of the Department of Kaumarabhritya, Government Ayurveda College, Kannur, and Shailja U., Head of the Department of PG Studies in Kaumarabhritya, SMD College of Ayurveda, Hassan would be among the experts participating in the seminar.

The seminar is being organised in memory of the late Rathnamma Heggade, Dr. Dodamani said.
