Bael Sherbet, made from the pulp of bael fruit (wood apple), is one of Ayurveda’s most recommended summer beverages. Bael is known for its cooling, hydrating, and digestive properties, making it an excellent remedy for Grishma Ritu (summer season) when excessive heat aggravates Pitta dosha. Bael is classified in Ayurveda as Deepan (appetizing) and Pachan (digestive), meaning it enhances appetite and promotes digestion. Bael Sherbet is loaded with antioxidants, vitamins A and C, potassium, and essential minerals, which help in flushing out toxins, replenishing lost fluids, and keeping the body hydrated. It also strengthens the immune system, protecting against common summer infections.

To prepare Bael Sherbet, first break open a ripe bael fruit and scoop out the pulp. Soak the pulp in water for about 15–20 minutes, then mash and strain it. Stir well and serve at room temperature or slightly cool—avoid adding ice, as it can weaken digestion.
