Reliance forays into Ayurveda space with Puraveda collection

Reliance Retail has entered the Ayurveda segment through its beauty and personal care platform Tira with the launch of Puraveda collection of products for body care, skincare and haircare.

The collections include over 50 products under four ingredient-led collections of Dhara, Niyama, Sama and Urja. Dhara provides nourishment through Chandan, D-Panthenol, and Lavender. Niyama is designed to support skincare rituals using ingredients like Kumkumadi, Squalane, and Vetiver. Sama brings balance and tranquillity through Gulaab, Tocopherol, and Hibiscus, while Urja revitalises and energises the skin with Mulethi, BHA, and Mogra.

According to Bhakti Modi, Co-founder and CEO of Tira, the products combine the rich wellness traditions with the precision of modern innovation.

She said Puraveda encourages consumers to adopt Ayurveda through formulated products that make holistic beauty accessible. This is in line with the company’s strategy of introducing brands that go beyond aesthetics to inspire deeper connections with self-care, she added.

The Reliance group’s decision to enter the Ayurveda space comes at a time when the global Ayurvedic products market is projected to grow to $30.2 billion by 2032 from $ 18.69 billion in 2023, at a CAGR of 5.48 per cent, powered by the rising awareness of the health benefits associated with herbal and natural products. Asia-Pacific region currently tops in the Ayurvedic products market with its enduring traditional heritage and manufacturing hubs in India and Sri Lanka.
