MP Travel Mart 2026: Madhya Pradesh Puts Tourism Investment in the Spotlight

Madhya Pradesh makes a stronger pitch for tourism investment, with a ₹848.40-crore hospitality project in Sehore emerging as the event’s biggest feature, at the seventh edition of its Travel Mart.

The four-day Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart 2026, in Bhopal from October 7 to 10, has brought together more than 100 international tour operators from over 34 countries, alongside 180 domestic operators from across India. The event moves beyond tourism promotion and creates direct business opportunities for hotels, resorts, homestays, adventure operators and other local stakeholders.

At the centre of the investment push is an agreement between the Madhya Pradesh Tourism Board and A.R.M. Foods Pvt. Ltd. for a large tourism development at Ramgarh in Sehore. The proposed project will feature an international-standard golf course, golf villas, a wellness resort and a luxury hotel. Officials estimate it could generate around 920 direct jobs, along with additional indirect employment.

The state is also lining up Letters of Award worth ₹252 crore for 14 projects, including hotels, wellness resorts, luxury tented camps, and eco-tourism facilities. Overall, investment proposals and agreements worth more than ₹1,100 crore are on the cards.

Business networking is another major component, with more than 10,000 pre-scheduled B2B meetings planned between international and domestic buyers and 355 local tourism stakeholders.

The investment agenda includes digital and experiential initiatives, AI-enabled QR information boards, a multilingual tourism website and a digital travel handbook. Partnerships cover rural homestays, adventure tourism, motorsports, film tourism and wildlife tourism.

With tourist visits to Madhya Pradesh reportedly reaching 21.05 crore in 2025, the Travel Mart reflects the state's attempt to convert rising visitor numbers into longer-term private investment, employment and tourism infrastructure.

Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart (MPTM) is a flagship tourism event to tap the state's tourism potential.

The Mart showcases Madhya Pradesh's diverse tourism offerings, from UNESCO World Heritage Sites, tiger reserves, and spiritual destinations to heritage cities, wellness retreats, eco-tourism, adventure tourism, rural experiences, film tourism, and MICE infrastructure.

Today, Madhya Pradesh Travel Mart has evolved into one of India's leading tourism business platforms, strengthening the state's global presence and creating new opportunities for trade, investment, and sustainable tourism.
