The 8th Ayurveda Day has been slated for 10 November 2023, with a primary emphasis on the theme 'Ayurveda for everyone, on a daily basis'

The curtain raiser press conference at the media center on October 10th saw the unveiling of a month-long celebration drive for the 8th National Ayurveda Day across India by Union Minister of Ayush and Ports, Shipping and Waterways, Shri Sarbananda Sonowal. This day is celebrated throughout the country to pay homage to Lord Dhanvantari, the God of Ayurveda, and coincides with Dhanteras, a day when people seek blessings from the Lord for good health for themselves and others.

The Union Minister, while speaking to the press, stressed the importance of "Jan Sandesh, Jan Bhagidhari, and Jan Andolan for Jan Arogya" in the field of Ayurveda. The Minister further stated that the Ministry of Ayush aims to harness the potential of Ayurveda in promoting the well-being of not just humans, but also the environment, plants, animals, and other living beings. In light of this, the chosen theme for the 8th Ayurveda is "Ayurveda for One Health."

The chosen theme for Ayurveda day-2023, 'Ayurveda for One Health' with the tagline 'Ayurveda for everyone on every day', is in harmony with India's G20 Presidency theme of 'Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam'. The theme emphasizes the interconnectedness of humans, animals, plants, and the environment, and aims to promote the use of Ayurveda for the benefit of all.

The Ayurveda Day programs in 2023 will be coordinated by the Central Council for Research in Ayurvedic Science (CCRAS), which operates under the Ministry of Ayush. Alongside its 30 units located throughout the country, CCRAS will serve as the coordinating agency. The anticipation of the Ayush ministry is that the commemoration of this year's Ayurveda Day will take place in approximately 100 nations.
