Chennai to host Medical Travel Summit on 26th May


 Chennai—The Government of India has identified Ayush-led wellness and medical travel as a priority sector with vast potential for growth and international outreach. To strengthen and promote this domain, the Ministry of Ayush is organizing a series of regional conferences across the country.
Following the success of the first event held in Mumbai last year, the second edition, titled Ayush Medical Value Travel Summit, is set to take place on 26th May 2025 at Hilton, Chennai, Tamil Nadu. The conference is being organized by the Ministry of Ayush, Government of India, in collaboration with FICCI and AYUSHEXCIL.
This significant event will convene key stakeholders from the Ayush ecosystem, including Ayush hospitals, wellness centres, yoga institutes, tour operators, insurance companies, Ayush product manufacturers, and integrative healthcare providers from Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Telangana, Kerala, and Puducherry.
The conference will be inaugurated by Shri Prataprao Jadhav, Hon’ble Minister of State (Independent Charge), Ministry of Ayush, and Minister of State, Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India.
Industry experts, policymakers, and healthcare professionals will engage in discussions on expanding Ayush wellness tourism, integrating traditional medicine into mainstream healthcare, and exploring opportunities for international collaborations.
