The Association of Medical Facilitators (AMF) Elected New Office Bearers


The Association of Medical Facilitators (AMF) has recently elected new office bearers during their General Body Meeting held at Le Méridien Hotel in Kochi. Mr. Sujith Nadesan has been elected as the President, Mr. Thomas Babu (Khaleej Tours) as the General Secretary, and Mr. Sivaprasad P.V.(MCS Medical Tourism) and Ashraf Bava as Vice presidents, Ms Shameena Hameed and Mr. Abdul Salam as Joint Secretaries, and Mr Sabik Padikkal as Treasurer. The members unanimously elected these individuals. In addition, Sadaruddin, Ashraf, Zakir, and Sagir have been elected as Executive Members, while Mr. Ismail and Dr. Savad Moulavi will serve as Advisory Board Members.


The newly elected President, Mr. Sujith Nadesan, has expressed his commitment to providing necessary training and guidance to AMF members in order to eliminate malpractices and ensure the delivery of high-quality services in the medical facilitation sector. General Secretary Thomas Babu has emphasized the importance of government cooperation in establishing legislation and guidelines for the sector, with a focus on positioning Kerala as a premier medical tourism destination.


The Indian government has set a target to generate $13 billion in revenue from medical tourism by 2026. To achieve this goal, the central government has introduced the "Heal in India, Heal by India" programs. In this sector, medical tourism facilitators play a vital role by offering guidance and organizing essential services like travel, accommodation, and meals for international patients who come to Kerala for treatment and healthcare services. The Association of Medical Tourism Facilitators, also known as AMF, represents these professionals. .
